All prices are exclusive of VAT. Quick Send Limited is not VAT registered and therefore VAT is not charged on our services. Unless stated otherwise, our quotation does not include insurance, customs duties, import or export taxes, inspections, tolls, permits, parking charges or any other third-party or government fees.

1. Our Quotation

We may adjust the quotation if circumstances change, for example
if the work is accepted more than twenty-eight days after being issued,
if fuel or other operating costs outside our control increase,
if collection or delivery involves upper floors without a lift,
if access is restricted and requires extra time or equipment, or
if delays outside our control extend the time required to complete the service.

In such cases, revised charges will apply.


2. Work Not Included

Unless agreed in writing, we do not
dismantle or assemble flat-pack or fitted furniture, disconnect or reconnect appliances,
remove carpets or floor coverings,
move items from lofts that are not safe or fully floored, or move or
store goods listed as excluded under Clause 4.

Customers are responsible for arranging qualified professionals to carry out such work.


3. Your Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to declare in writing the total value of the goods to be moved or stored, to arrange adequate cover if you require protection beyond our liability limits, and to obtain any permits, permissions or documents required for the move. You must be present or represented during collection and delivery, sign job sheets and inventories, and ensure that nothing is left behind or taken in error. You must take steps to protect goods left in unattended premises, prepare and stabilise appliances and electronics, and empty, defrost and clean refrigerators and freezers before removal. We are not responsible for the contents of such appliances. You must also provide and keep updated your contact details and forwarding address. Except where we are negligent or in breach of contract, we are not liable for loss, damage or additional costs that arise from your failure to meet these responsibilities.


4. Goods We Cannot Move or Store

We cannot accept dangerous or illegal items including but not limited to gas bottles, aerosols, paints, firearms, explosives, stolen goods, drugs or pornographic material. We cannot accept high-value goods such as jewellery, watches, precious metals or stones, cash, deeds, securities, stamps or coins. We will not move or store plants, perishable items, goods requiring a controlled environment, animals, birds or fish, or goods that require special government licences or permissions for export or import. If such items are submitted without our knowledge, we may refuse carriage, require immediate collection, or dispose of them at your expense.


5. Ownership of Goods

By entering into this agreement you confirm that you are the owner of the goods or that you have full authority from the owner. You agree to indemnify us against any claims or costs that may arise if this proves not to be the case.


6. Postponement and Cancellation

If you postpone or cancel your booking more than ten working days before the agreed date, no charge will apply. If cancellation occurs between five and ten working days, we may charge up to thirty per cent of the quoted price. If cancellation occurs between one and four working days, we may also charge up to thirty per cent. If you cancel on the same day as the move, you are liable for fifty per cent of the agreed price. If our team arrives and the work cannot proceed due to incorrect details, lack of access, or other reasons beyond our control, we reserve the right to charge up to the full price.


7. Payments and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of twenty per cent of the agreed price is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. The remaining balance of eighty per cent is payable upon completion of the job on the same day unless alternative account terms have been agreed in writing. We accept payment by card, bank transfer or cash. For account customers, overdue amounts may be subject to daily interest at four per cent above the Bank of England base rate.


8. Insurance and Liability for Goods

We hold Public Liability insurance up to £10,000 which covers third-party property damage or injury caused by our negligence. This does not cover the value of your goods. Goods in Transit insurance is not included unless separately arranged. If no Goods in Transit insurance is in place, our liability for loss or damage to goods caused by our negligence or breach is limited to £50 per item. For this purpose, an item is defined as the entire contents of a single box, container or package, or a single object. If you provide a written itemised valued inventory before work begins, we may, for an additional charge, agree to increase this liability limit. This is not insurance and separate cover is strongly advised.


9. Damage to Property Other than Goods

If we negligently cause damage to your premises or property other than the goods being moved, our liability is limited to repairing the damaged area only. If damage occurs because you instructed us to move an item against our advice, we will not accept liability. Any damage must be noted on the job sheet or delivery receipt at the time it occurs or as soon as reasonably possible.


10. Exclusions

We are not liable for loss, damage or failure to produce goods caused by fire, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, acts of God, or events outside our control. We are not liable for normal wear and tear, deterioration, perishable or unstable goods, infestation, cleaning or restoration not arranged by us, climate or atmospheric changes, goods packed or unpacked by you, electrical or mechanical faults without external damage, or goods with pre-existing defects. We are not liable for animals, plants, perishable items or goods excluded under Clause 4. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of use, profit or amenity.


11. Claims Time Limits

For goods delivered by us, you must notify us of visible loss or damage at the time of delivery. For goods collected by you or your agent, you must notify us at handover. For hidden damage or loss, you must notify us in writing within seven days of delivery or collection. We may extend this time limit if requested in writing within that period, and such requests will not be unreasonably refused.


12. Delays in Transit

We are not liable for delays in transit unless caused by our negligence or breach. If we are unable to deliver your goods through no fault of our own, we may place them into storage at your cost. In that case the agreement will be treated as fulfilled and any further services including storage or redelivery will be charged separately.


13. Right to Hold Goods

We have the right to withhold or dispose of goods until all sums due are paid. Storage and related costs will continue to apply while goods are withheld.


14. Disputes

Any disputes will first be referred to mediation. If mediation fails, either party may refer the matter to arbitration under the Arbitration Act 1996. The seat of arbitration will be England and Wales.


15. Sub-contracting

We may sub-contract some or all of the work, but these Terms will continue to apply.


16. Route and Method

We reserve the right to choose the route and method of work. Unless otherwise agreed, spare capacity on our vehicles may be used for other consignments.


17. International Moves

We will use reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about international removals, but it is your responsibility to obtain correct and up-to-date advice on customs, import and export requirements.


18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
